Bill and Susan both work in marketing. One day, they were having a cup of joe during their break, when Susan noticed that Bill seemed a bit down. “So Bill, what’s bothering you,” asked Susan.
Bill replied, “Do you know I really can’t stand Paul. He’s always buttering up the big cheese to get what he wants. Nobody believes me that he’s a snake in the grass. He’s been the apple of the boss’s eye, especially after pulling off that big deal with the IT company.
Now we’re both working on the marketing strategy for an automobile company. In a nutshell, Paul thinks we should use traditional media, but I disagree with him. I think we should use more social media. However, social media is a hot potato within the company at the moment, especially after the press officer put some confidential information on our company’s social media site.”
Susan replied, “Well, Bill. You’re one smart cookie. I’m sure you’ll find a way of persuading Paul, and therefore your boss to your point of view.”
“I don’t know,” said Bill. “Paul is a hard nut to crack. I’ll have to use my noodle and come up with a creative solution.”
“Anyway, how are things with you Susan? How’s the new product doing?”
“I really shouldn’t be spilling the beans, but they’re selling like hotcakes.”
